Bandar Udara Internasional Wina
Bandar Udara Internasional Wina (IATA: VIE, ICAO: LOWW) (bahasa Jerman: Flughafen Wien), berlokasi di Schwechat dan berjarak 18 km tenggara dari pusat kota Wina, adalah bandara tersibuk dan terbesar di Austria. Biasanya bandara ini disebut juga Schwechat, kota terdekat dengan bandara. Bandara ini mempunyai kemampuan menampung pesawat berbadan lebar seperti Boeing 747 dan Airbus A340. Bandara ini menjadi hub bagi Austrian Airlines dan anak perusahaannya.

Pada tahun 2009, bandara menangani total 18,114,103 penumpang, memperlihatkan penurunan sebesar 8.3% dibandingkan tahun 2008.[2]
Sejarah
suntingSebenarnya bandara ini dibangun untuk keperluan militer pada tahun 1938, kemudian diduduki oleh tentara Inggris pada tahun 1945. Tahun 1954, Betriebsgesellschaft didirikan, dan bandara ini menggantikan Aspern sebagai bandara utama di Wina. Mereka hanya memiliki satu landasan pacu, yang pada tahun 1959 diperpanjang hingga mencapai 3000m. Pendirian bandara baru dimulai pada tahun 1960. Tahun 1972 landasan pacu yang lain dibangun.
Bandara ini menjadi penerimaan peserta olimpiade saat Austria dua kali menjadi tuan rumah Olimpiade Musim Dingin. Paus Yohanes Paulus II juga menggunakan bandara tersebut selama kunjungannya di Austria. Pada 27 Desember 1985, Loket penjualan tiket El Al diserang oleh teroris Palestina.
Bandara sebelumnya memiliki gerai Harrods, namun ditutup tahun 2003.
Terminal
suntingSaat ini, Bandara Internasional Wina memiliki tiga terminal, terminal 1 dan 2 sebagai terminal utama dan terminal tambahan 1A, yang dibangun untuk memberikan tempat bagi maskapai penerbangan biaya rendah. Tahun 2004, bandara mulai membangun terminal baru, SKYLINK, yang membuat mampu menampun lebih banyak penumpang (19 juta tahun 2008). Terminal baru ini juga membuat bandara mampu menampung pesawat yang lebih besar seperti Airbus A380.
Semua terminal dioperasikan oleh Fraport, Vienna Airport Handling, Swissport dan Austrian Airlines. Setelah penyelesaian SKYLINK, Austrian Airlines dan rekan kerjanya akan berpindah ke terminal baru.
